We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team at York Community Stadium. As a key member of our Facilities Management team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the designated area.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure that the department you are assigned to is cleaned in accordance with the work schedule for that area, including lifting items and operating cleaning machinery.
- Undertake specialist cleaning as required under the guidance of the Facilities Supervisor and/or Department Manager and/or Infection Prevention Department.
- Use machinery/equipment in accordance with your training to prevent endangering yourself and others.
- Ensure all cleaning materials and disposables are used economically and are stored securely and safely in your work area.
- Ensure that while carrying out your duties, the correct colour-coded equipment is used to prevent cross-contamination.
This is a permanent contract position, working Monday to Friday, 17:00-20:00. You will work without immediate supervision, so you must be able to prioritize and use your own initiative. Tasks may need to be completed under time and other pressures, but you will maintain standards and pride in your work.
Requirements- Able to read, write, and converse in English.
- Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Good basic education, including reading and writing, plus basic numeric skills.
- Basic understanding and a willingness to complete appropriate qualifications and training, including customer service training.
