About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Work Professional to join our Safeguarding team at Bolton Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a purposeful and professional social work service to children in need and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.
  • Work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to provide support and guidance to help them meet the needs of their children.
  • Act as a champion for service development and improvement within the department of Children's Social Care and Early Help.
  • Produce high-quality reports and deliver accurate and concise information verbally and in written form.
  • Participate in regular and reflective supervision to ensure the highest standards of practice.

Requirements:

  • Social Work qualification and registration with the Social Work England (SWE) register.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with children, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge and experience in safeguarding children, including the ability to produce high-quality assessments and understand current changes within children's social work.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
