Exciting Opportunity for a Cleaning Operative

We are seeking a dedicated individual for a permanent part-time role, working 25 hours per week from 09:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday. The annual salary for this position is £15,654.78.

The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain cleanliness in designated areas of our student accommodation, which includes:

  • Bedrooms
  • Bathrooms
  • Shower rooms
  • Kitchens and associated white goods

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vacuuming, spot cleaning, and shampooing carpets; sweeping and polishing floors; cleaning stairs
  • Washing walls, doors, furniture, radiators, and lampshades as necessary
  • Emptying waste bins and transporting rubbish to designated storage areas
  • During peak seasons: Making beds, including changing linens and organizing laundry
  • Cleaning internal and external windows, as applicable
  • Washing glasses, cutlery, and cooking utensils as required
  • Daily communication with residents and Residence Managers
  • Adhering to all Health & Safety regulations at all times

We prioritize the experience of our residents and are looking for someone who possesses prior cleaning experience in a similar setting. Strong communication and organizational skills, along with meticulous attention to detail, are essential.

A good conversational level of English is required, as well as the ability to understand and follow Health & Safety guidelines. Flexibility to work at other locations and additional hours during busy periods is also necessary.
