About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at our 3-bedroom children's home in Canvey Island. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and support to our team, ensuring the highest standards of care and well-being for our young residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to our residents.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the home, including staff supervision, training, and development.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, including social services, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services, or equivalent.
  • 3 years' experience working with children in the last 5 years, with a minimum of 1 year's experience in a management role.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a residential setting, with a focus on providing high-quality care and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, residents, and external agencies.
