Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Personal Injury / Civil Litigation Solicitor to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in handling a diverse caseload, ranging from personal injury claims to civil disputes, and will be committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients.

This role requires a proactive approach, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage cases efficiently from inception to resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a varied caseload of personal injury and civil litigation matters, including but not limited to road traffic accidents, employer's liability, public liability, contractual disputes, and property disputes.
  2. Provide expert legal advice to clients, ensuring a clear understanding of their legal rights and options.
  3. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including claims, witness statements, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
  4. Represent clients in court, mediation, and settlement negotiations, advocating effectively on their behalf.
  5. Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
  6. Liaise with clients, third parties, and other legal professionals to ensure the smooth progression of cases.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and industry developments.
  8. Contribute to the firm's business development initiatives, including networking, attending industry events, and enhancing the firm's reputation in the market.
  9. Ensure compliance with the firm's policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with at least 2 years of PQE in personal injury and civil litigation.
  • Demonstrable experience handling a broad range of personal injury and civil litigation cases.
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision, prioritising effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and case management software.
  • Excellent client care skills with a client-focused approach to legal services.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring high work standards and accuracy in all matters.
  • A proactive team player who can work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm.
