Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Building Solutions Team by managing the estimation process for both single and two-stage bids aimed at our existing and prospective clients.

Your daily tasks will encompass:

  • Focusing on pricing strategies to secure new tenders and leverage existing framework opportunities. You will oversee all aspects of bid pricing, from cost modeling and margin assessment to the completion of pricing documents and client presentations.
  • Collaborating with the broader team to gather operational requirements, temporary works, social value, and environmental considerations to ensure comprehensive submissions.
  • Assisting in the creation of tender documents, participating in pre-tender and post-tender interviews, and providing necessary data as requested.
  • Securing appropriate market quotations to support bid submissions through effective utilization of the Kier Supply Chain.
  • Demonstrating the ability to provide precise cost estimates based on fundamental principles.

Candidate Profile:

This Estimator position is ideal for you if you possess:

  • Experience in bidding for local authority projects and capital works clients.
  • A track record of working on bids valued between £2,500,000 and £10,000,000+, with diverse sector experience.
  • Familiarity with framework operations and an understanding of varying framework requirements.
