Job Summary

Marshalls Garden is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our finance team. As a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, you will play a crucial role in providing valuable insights and commercial understanding to drive business strategy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Commercial Trading Plan Support

Prepare and analyze data to provide insights on seasonal trends, enhance future business performance, and support category teams with implementation.

Sales and Margin Performance Reviews

Regularly review sales and margin performance across all marketing activity, feeding recommendations back into relevant teams to ensure activity aligns with business plan.

Dispatched Goods Insights

Provide insights into multiple dispatched per order and recommend strategies to reduce dispatched goods.

Promotional Activity Review

Support review and insight of existing and proposed promotional activity, identifying successes and challenges, and providing recommendations for future opportunities.

Costing and Pricing Reviews

Work with category teams to ensure accurate standard costs for material, labor, packaging, and distribution costs, measuring against actuals for each season, and providing recommendations for change.

Data Insight and Reporting

Provide data insights for wider planned projects and opportunities, and interrogate business reporting in multiple systems to ensure accuracy and suggest improvements.

Key Requirements
  • Part-Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Budgets and Forecasting skills
  • Committed team player with proven ability to hit deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to challenge senior stakeholders and operate with appropriate impact and influence
