Wastewater Operations Specialist

Role Overview: As a key player in our team, you will provide essential support and develop relationships with several major industrial accounts, collaborating closely with the Account Management Team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational assistance for waste management contracts associated with key industrial clients.
  • Foster and enhance client relationships to ensure the continuity and expansion of waste services.
  • Collaborate with the Contract Manager and Account Management Team to devise and execute strategies aimed at service improvement and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with existing and forthcoming environmental and health & safety regulations.
  • Conduct audits of both supplier and client sites as necessary.
  • Oversee that contracts are executed safely and efficiently, maintaining the required standards while liaising with clients and monitoring site operations when appropriate.
  • Participate in client meetings as needed.
  • Promote a positive safety culture on client sites in alignment with both client and Mitie standards.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience in the operations and processes of Wastewater Treatment Facilities.
  • Knowledge of the waste industry, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste management and recycling best practices.
  • Experience working within operational teams and environments.
  • Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in multitasking and managing various projects simultaneously.
  • Able to engage with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Strong planning capabilities.
  • Experience in managing change and delivering customer care.
  • Understanding of health and safety protocols.
  • Approachable, diligent, and possessing a proactive attitude.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is advantageous.
