About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Property Underwriting Specialist to join our team at Carbon Underwriting Limited. As a key member of our property underwriting team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the US property market, leveraging your expertise and network to drive growth and revenue.
  2. Underwriting and Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough underwriting and risk assessments for property binding authority accounts, ensuring accurate and informed decisions that meet our clients' needs.
  3. Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage a portfolio of property binding authority accounts, monitoring performance, identifying trends, and implementing strategies to optimize results.
  4. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with coverholders, brokers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service and driving business growth.
  5. Market Analysis and Research: Conduct market analysis and research to stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging risks, informing our underwriting and business development strategies.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including actuarial, claims, compliance, and delegated authority teams, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Minimum 5+ years of underwriting experience in the US property (delegated authority) space.
  2. Knowledge and Skills: Proven underwriting ability, understanding of the property market in the US, and excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  3. Qualifications: ACII qualified or working towards completion of this qualification is preferred.
