Chef de Partie - Term Time Only

As a Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in creating delicious and nourishing meals for our students. You will collaborate closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and consistently high-quality food.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation, ensuring adherence to recipes and standards.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Maintaining strict hygiene and safety protocols throughout the kitchen, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Contributing to menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and student preferences.
  • Overseeing stock control and ordering procedures, minimizing waste and ensuring efficient inventory management.
  • Actively participating in special events and themed dinners, showcasing culinary creativity and skills.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie within contract catering or education settings.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications demonstrating expertise in food preparation techniques.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong teamwork and collaboration.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the school calendar.
