Job Title: Retail Store Manager

Job Summary:

Sodexo Health & Care is seeking a dedicated Retail Store Manager to lead and oversee the operations of the Kitchen Works restaurant at the Wythenshawe Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient preparation and service of food, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the unit according to Kitchen Works and client satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all food is prepared with due care and attention, particularly in regard to customers' special dietary requirements.
  • Implement and maintain the Company's accountancy, documentation, and administration procedures to the laid-down standard.
  • Maintain business records as outlined in the Kitchen Works Restaurant Operations Manual and analyze them to increase sales.
  • Control and monitor the financial performance of the unit and maintain costs within pre-budgeted targets.
  • Support local and national marketing initiatives and communicate changes in food preparation formulas, standards, etc.
  • Carry out a daily service audit and perform activities detailed in the service offer manual under Key Performance Indicators.
  • Implement and maintain the Statutory and Company standards of hygiene, health, and safety.
  • Ensure all new staff are given a thorough induction into their job, the unit, and the Company.
  • Monitor the performance of staff, carry out performance reviews, and provide training and coaching as necessary.
  • Ensure the correct compilation of the payroll to the latest regulations.

Requirements:

  • A solid operational food retail background, currently holding the position of retail store manager or perhaps be a supervisor looking for your first step on the managerial ladder.
  • Previous experience of leading staff and a passion for brand standards and customer service.
  • Excellent knowledge of food hygiene standards and the minimum of the Basic Food Hygiene level 3 qualification.
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and general IT systems.
  • The flexibility to work weekends to meet business needs.
