Position Summary:
As the Financial Executive Officer, you will be responsible for all financial activities, encompassing profit and loss oversight, budget management, audits, and regulatory compliance. You will design and implement our financial strategy, ensuring it aligns with the overall business objectives. In partnership with senior management, you will facilitate growth and innovation, guiding the finance team to achieve outstanding results and uphold exceptional standards of financial performance.
Core Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning: Formulate and execute financial plans that support the company's growth ambitions.
- Profit Oversight: Manage and enhance the organization's profitability.
- Budget Management: Direct budgeting activities, ensuring optimal resource distribution.
- Financial Reporting: Lead the monthly consolidation and reporting processes, delivering insightful financial analysis.
- Accounting Oversight: Oversee accounting practices, policies, and outsourced functions.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Spearhead M&A initiatives, ensuring they align with strategic goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster robust relationships with stakeholders and provide clear financial reporting.
- Collaborative Decision-Making: Partner with senior executives on financial strategies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to international financial reporting standards and manage audit processes.
- Tax Strategy: Supervise tax planning and compliance activities.
- Cash Management: Oversee cash flow, foreign exchange, and banking relationships.
- Remote Team Leadership: Effectively lead the finance team in a remote working environment.
- System Enhancements: Manage improvements to ERP systems for enhanced financial reporting.
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline, along with professional accounting credentials (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, including over 3 years in a senior leadership role with comprehensive P&L accountability.
- Demonstrated experience in managing remote teams.
- Experience in financial operations across various jurisdictions, particularly in the UK and US.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, with familiarity with UK GAAP considered advantageous.
- Experience in managing M&A transactions.
- Strong understanding of UK and US legal and tax frameworks, as well as ERP systems.
