Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Planning Manager to play a crucial role in the development of our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the travel industry and be able to provide expert financial guidance to support our growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely submission of financial reports to senior management.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
  • Financial Systems and Procedures: Support the implementation of changes in operational and financial systems and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Industry Regulations: Maintain regular reviews to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal controls.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, variances, and performance metrics.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions.
  • External Auditors and Regulatory Bodies: Work with external auditors and regulatory bodies to adhere to the annual reporting timetable.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with changes in industry regulations and standards, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

Requirements:

  • Professional Qualification: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) completed or in process.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the travel industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Ideally a knowledge of IATA, ATOL, and ABTA reporting requirements and regulations.
  • Financial Management: Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and practices.
  • Accounting Software: Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Integrity and Confidentiality: High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
