About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our Systems Consulting team at Decision Analysis Services Limited. As a Senior Data Science Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting our clients across the Energy, Defence, and Government sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights from large datasets and build predictive models.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in data science and technology.
  • Communicate complex findings and insights to stakeholders through compelling data visualisations and reports.
  • Demonstrate exceptional consulting skills and build strong working relationships with clients and the wider team.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree or Masters in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, economics, data science, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or physics.
  • Have a good working knowledge of data science project lifecycles and be comfortable working collaboratively with a team.
  • Be able to build relationships across a wide stakeholder group, including product, data and analytics, data science, marketing, and sales.
  • Demonstrate experience working with a variety of machine learning methods and at least one statistical/coding programming language, such as Python, R, Java, or C++.
  • Have visualisation skills using products like Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, R Shiny, or DASH.
Desirable Skills
  • Facilitate and utilise workshops to turn user stories into requirements.
  • Have knowledge of Agile leadership roles, such as Scrum Master or Product Owner.
  • Be proficient in software engineering principles and practices to effectively implement data-driven solutions.
  • Have experience developing and implementing Data Strategy plans for clients' data processes.
