Job Overview
Five Education Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEN Teacher to lead our SEMH Inclusion Unit. As the lead teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that cater to the unique needs of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that address the SEMH needs of students
- Collaborate with the SENDCo and Senior Leadership Team to ensure seamless integration with the school's curriculum
- Supervise and support a team of SEND teaching assistants in their professional development
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of student progress and development
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure a collaborative approach to student support
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
- Desirable: Additional SEND qualifications or prior experience in a specialist provision
