Educational Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Educational Psychologist to join our team at Leeds City Council. As an Educational Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and wellbeing needs of children and young people in our city.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a psychological service to a cluster of schools and settings, promoting inclusion and improving outcomes for children and young people.
- Apply psychology in the creative and efficient promotion of inclusion, using evidence-based interventions and strategies.
- Provide direct consultation and support to families, staff, and children, advocating for their needs and promoting their wellbeing.
- Contribute to the development of policies, plans, and guidelines that support the educational and wellbeing needs of children and young people.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to achieve focused outcomes for children and young people.
- Postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology, with eligibility for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Experience of working with children and young people, with a strong understanding of educational psychology and its application in a range of settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage information, gather and analyse data, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice 2015.
