Overview:
Are you a dedicated Physical Education Instructor seeking a long-term opportunity within educational institutions? Do you possess experience working with adolescents aged 11-18 who have unique learning needs and exhibit challenging behaviors?

About the Role:
GSL Education is currently in search of a Physical Education Instructor to join a secondary educational facility in Leicester. The role involves providing both individual and group support as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Engage with students who have complex behavioral challenges, utilizing sports as a therapeutic approach to manage difficulties and enhance learning outside the traditional classroom setting.
2. Develop lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum, ensuring that tasks are tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
3. Assist the Class Teacher with daily responsibilities and lesson planning.
4. Conduct small group sessions outside the classroom, employing sports as a dynamic learning tool.
5. Lead physical education classes in various environments, both indoors and outdoors.
6. Demonstrate experience in working with young individuals in mainstream educational settings.
7. Exhibit proficiency in managing challenging behaviors, including Autism, ADHD, and Social and Emotional Mental Health issues.
8. Deliver physical education lessons alongside written assignments.

Requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of the curriculum, particularly in English and Physical Education.
- Availability to work full-time, five days a week.
- Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Check, with a preference for those on the update service. (Assistance with obtaining a DBS can be provided if necessary.)
