About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to join our team at AJ Bell. As a key member of our IT Risk & Security team, you will play a critical role in managing and reporting Information Security Risks across our technology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to security alerts, escalations, and incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Oversee vulnerability scanning to ensure the effectiveness of patching and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate and support security penetration testing to ensure the security of our systems and data.
  • Monitor external information sources to stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities affecting our technical estate.
  • Assess and recommend server hardening activities to improve the security posture of our infrastructure.
  • Support the administration of email and web gateways to ensure secure communication and data exchange.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security considerations are integrated into project and change initiatives.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Information Security risk management tools and techniques.
  • Experience working with firewalls, email/web gateways, SIEM, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Knowledge of Cloud security solutions and standards, such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
  • Ability to challenge approach, strategy, and implementation to ensure Information Security is consistently considered and improved.
  • Structured, self-starting, flexible, and enjoy working in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and follow through on assigned tasks with minimal prompting.
