About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Porter to join our Facilities Team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. As a Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospitals by providing a comprehensive range of portering services.
Main Responsibilities
- Sorting and delivery/collection of mail in the post room
- Dealing with the transfer of patients
- Movement of equipment, furniture, linen, medical records, and drugs
- Collection, storage, and disposal of clinical and non-clinical waste
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- GCSE grade D or above in English and Maths
- Ability to cope with the physical demands of the role
- Good interpersonal skills to deal with patients and staff
