About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team at our Wakefield Bakery. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of our production equipment, ensuring that our bakery operates efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform planned and preventative maintenance on production equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Identify and rectify faults, using inputs and outputs, reading and acting on data, and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with production, safety, and hygiene teams to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Develop and implement robust solutions to improve plant reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects to increase plant efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and save costs.
Requirements
  • Electrically biased Multi-Skilled Engineer with experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of PLC systems, preferably Allen Bradley, and control systems with the ability to fault find.
  • Excellent route cause analysis skills and engineering qualification, such as an Apprenticeship, HNC, or BTECH.
  • Knowledge and experience of maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and H&S knowledge, e.g., IOSH.
  • Ability to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, including days and nights, and excellent problem-solving skills.
