We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Manager to join our team at Plymouth Community Homes. As a Fire Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our residents and staff by developing and implementing effective fire safety policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement fire safety policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct fire risk assessments and inspections to identify potential fire hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Lead a team of fire safety professionals in conducting fire safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure fire safety is integrated into all aspects of our operations.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in fire safety legislation and regulations and ensure our policies and procedures are compliant.
- Proven experience in fire safety management, preferably in a housing association or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and regulations, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential fire hazards.
