Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team at MDE Group UK. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for providing planned preventative and predictive maintenance services to our factory operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and planned maintenance repairs of equipment to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Attend to emergency and unscheduled repairs during unplanned shutdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Repair and maintain electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic devices to ensure smooth factory operations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment throughout the factory to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to electrical failure, report conditions, and recommend steps to be taken to resolve issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as changing contacts, checking motors, and other routine maintenance activities as instructed.
  • Install cables and conduit for new equipment or replacing old ones to ensure efficient factory operations.
Requirements
  • A sound knowledge of electrical preventative engineering principles and a comprehensive understanding of condition-based plant monitoring systems.
  • A formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, such as NVQ Level 3, C&G Level 3 Electrical, HNC, or equivalent.
  • General knowledge of industrial plant and process equipment is essential.
