Position Overview

The University of Central Lancashire is seeking a dedicated Financial Management Accountant to become an integral part of the Financial Planning & Accounting Team.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves leading the Management Accounts Team to deliver Monthly Management Accounts while supporting the Quarterly Forecast and Annual Budgeting processes.

In collaboration with Finance Business Partners, you will provide a standardized suite of reporting and analysis for Faculty and Service Budget Holders, offering essential financial support, budget formulation, strategic planning, and operational execution.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will leverage their prior experience in management accounting reporting, data validation, and analysis, catering to both finance and non-finance managers. Building trusted relationships is crucial to ensure that corporate financial strategies align with the delivery plans of Budget Holders.

This role presents a unique opportunity to thrive in a dynamic environment, contributing to the ongoing growth and development of UCLan in the evolving Higher Education and Training sector.

The successful applicant will possess an AAT Level 4 qualification or be part-qualified, actively pursuing a professional accountancy qualification (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, or equivalent). Advanced Excel skills and experience in structured management accounting and forecasting processes are essential.
