Senior Audit Clerk

Burton Bolton & Rose Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Audit Clerk to manage a portfolio of clients and supervise a team of junior audit staff. This is a standalone role, and you would report directly to the Principal.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs, and small companies.
- Oversee the year-end process and review work with senior staff members to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Complete bookkeeping requirements from incomplete records up to trial balance level, including cash books, sales day books, and purchase day book records.
- Assist with client audits, testing bank, sales, and purchase records, and prepare quarterly VAT returns and HMRC payment returns.
- Proven experience in audit and financial services.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
