About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Client Portfolio Manager to join our team at Pro Talent. As a Client Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring that all their accounting, tax, and business advisory needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact for all accounting and tax matters.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns.
  • Business Advisory Services: Provide business advisory services, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Tax Compliance: Oversee VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work, and supporting their professional development.
  • Client Satisfaction: Ensure all work is completed accurately and on time, meeting client expectations and deadlines.
  • Business Development: Assist with onboarding new clients and contribute to business development activities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Keep up to date with changes in tax and accounting regulations, and ensure compliance.
  • HMRC Liaison: Liaise with HMRC and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients where necessary.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 4 years' post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Client Management: Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality service.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Financial Analysis: Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and management accounts.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to clients.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Leadership Experience: Leadership experience, including supervising or mentoring junior staff.
  • Accounting Software: Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
  • Client Focus: A proactive, client-focused approach, with a passion for delivering value to businesses.
