About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser to join our dynamic Philanthropy team. As a key player in delivering our strategy to maximise income from charitable trusts and foundations, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with funders, researching and approaching new prospects, and developing and writing compelling proposals to secure funding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the strategy to maximise income from a portfolio of charitable trust donors, awarding grants of £30,000+.
  • Establish, maintain and develop personalised relationships with funders through consistent, creative and innovative stewardship.
  • Research, approach and establish relationships with lapsed and prospective funders to build new relationships and support pipeline development and growth for future funding.
  • Support senior colleagues at external events and meetings.
  • Identify, maintain and develop a portfolio of appropriate funding proposals.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate reporting to donors in your portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain annual work plans and database systems.
  • Report on performance against agreed budgets and targets.
Requirements
  • High-value trust fundraising experience, with a successful track record of achieving ambitious fundraising targets.
  • Demonstrable experience of trust proposal development.
  • Experience of researching funding prospects, with knowledge of source materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to absorb complex information and present it in a clear, logical and appropriate manner.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with managers and peers.
  • Ability to develop relationships internally and externally.
  • Comfortable building and working with project budgets and contributing to team budgeting.
