About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Surveyor to join our team in Byfleet, Surrey. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial cycle of our developments in the region.

You will work closely with our Commercial Manager to manage the preparation of anticipated build costs, procurement, payment, and final evaluation of subcontractors. Additionally, you will have supervisory and training responsibility for the Surveyor onsite.

This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy autonomy and exposure, as you will work with various internal stakeholders, including the Land Team and Managing Director. You will also interact with external contractors, suppliers, and consultants, negotiating trading terms and contract agreements.

Key responsibilities include producing a monthly forecast report for the Board, preparing budgets, scheduling, and estimates. You will also be responsible for site visits and may require additional overtime to meet targets.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled Surveyor with a background in Construction, preferably in residential development. You should hold an HNC or HND qualification and be a member of a professional body, such as RICS or MOICB. Experience with COINS and standard surveying techniques is advantageous.

You should be a commercially astute negotiator, comfortable working independently and collaboratively, with huge self-motivation and the ability to prioritize your workload.
