Electrical Maintenance Engineer Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £40,000-45,000 + shift allowance

Location: West Midlands

Our client, a leading precision manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their West Midlands facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall maintenance of site equipment used to manufacture bespoke components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair plant and equipment used in the manufacturing of components for automotive and aerospace industries.
  • Conduct general maintenance throughout the site.
  • Ensure all maintenance work adheres to safety regulations and safe working practices.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing and resolving issues.
  • Manage both reactive and proactive maintenance tasks, ensuring timely and safe repairs.
  • Work independently or as part of a multi-skilled team, supporting both traditional and advanced equipment.
  • Utilize hands-on experience with industrial drives, control systems, and robotic equipment.

Requirements:

  • Apprentice Trained or equivalent in an engineering-related discipline.
  • Proven experience in an electrical maintenance position.
  • Strong desire to improve site efficiency.
  • Capability to resolve problems across various onsite working areas.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in approach and skillset.
