Position Summary

A prominent manufacturer specializing in medical-grade weighing devices is seeking a field-based Calibration Technician to enhance their expanding workforce.

Role Responsibilities

As a Calibration Technician, your primary responsibility will be to evaluate and calibrate medical-grade weighing instruments, including pediatric measuring systems, infant scales, wheelchair scales, flat scales, and body composition scales.

To effectively perform these tasks, you will utilize calibrated weights and must be physically capable of maneuvering up to 150kg using a trolley.

There is potential for career progression into a Field Service Engineer position, where you will engage in the repair of medical devices.

Travel Requirements

This role necessitates driving across a designated territory in South East England, with frequent visits to various medical facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and care homes.

Occasional travel beyond the primary territory may be required to support team members, which could involve overnight stays.

Working Hours

The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:45 PM, inclusive of travel time.

Overtime is compensated at standard rates for hours worked beyond this schedule.

Willingness to work occasional Saturday mornings is expected, with compensation at time and a half.

Compensation Package

Qualifications and Experience

  • Hands-on technical experience in installation, testing, calibration, servicing, or repair, whether as a hobby or in a professional capacity.
