Finance Assistant (Purchase Ledger) Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join our team on a temp to perm basis. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and reconcile invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Manage payment allocations, resolving any discrepancies or queries
  • Provide excellent customer service to suppliers, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring timely payment to suppliers
  • Perform other administrative accounts duties as required
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in accounting software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues
  • Highly organized and able to work accurately under pressure
