We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to deliver strategic consultancy. The ideal candidate will possess an innovative approach, stay abreast of emerging technologies, and demonstrate the ability to understand customer perspectives.
This role requires collaboration with Solution Architecture and Project Management teams to develop comprehensive designs that align with client needs and, when necessary, convert these designs into operational solutions.
As part of your responsibilities, you will conduct thorough evaluations of existing IT services and translate your findings into detailed reports that highlight key improvement opportunities and outline a roadmap for implementation.
This dynamic position involves a blend of working from our client's head office, remote work, and occasional travel to client sites as needed.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sale Activities:
- Collaborate with the Solution Architecture team to develop a comprehensive Cost Model during client engagement proposals.
- Support the Solution Architecture team in workshops by providing expertise on specific technologies during the sales process.
Post-Sale Activities:
- Conduct technical discovery assessments to gain in-depth insights into client environments.
- Review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Cost Models for accuracy and completeness.
- Serve as the technical authority, overseeing large-scale transformation projects with governance and ownership.
- Engage in Technical Account Management and contribute to strategic roadmaps for assigned clients.
- Create both high-level and low-level technical design documentation as necessary, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and vendor architecture principles during implementation.
- Act as the technical authority on the solution portfolio.
- Translate solution designs into Technical Architecture documentation.
- Conduct technical design workshops during the post-sale design phase.
- Perform scoping activities and outline project deliverables.
- Develop Low-Level Design Documents and associated Functional and UAT Test Plans.
- Assist the Project Management Office in translating deliverables into a Project Plan.
- Present Technical Architecture documentation to clients alongside the Project Management Office to facilitate project scheduling.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Technical Consulting team throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with architectural standards and best practices.
About You:
You should have a passion for technology and a commitment to staying ahead of industry trends to lead the market and exceed client expectations. You will demonstrate the ability to guide project teams through complex projects, ensuring successful outcomes.
Your expertise should include a deep understanding of technical complexities, migration methodologies, and a proven track record in delivering complex enterprise-level projects successfully.
Excellent communication skills are essential, allowing you to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders effectively. You should possess strong problem-solving abilities, a client-focused mindset, and exceptional time management skills.
Additionally, you will have a proven history in technical architecture engagements and successful low-level design of solutions. Certification at the Architect level in Microsoft Azure Cloud, including industry accreditations such as Microsoft AZ-104 and AZ-305, is required.
