The Role

We are seeking dedicated SEMH Learning Mentors to join our team. As a SEMH Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students' social, emotional, and mental health development, working closely with teachers, parents, and professionals in partner schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and group mentoring to students with SEMH needs, promoting emotional and social development.
  • Develop and implement individual support plans, tailored to each student's needs.
  • Assist in activities promoting emotional and social development, such as group work and individual sessions.
  • Help students develop coping strategies and resilience, enabling them to manage challenging situations.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring that their needs are met and their progress is tracked.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create a supportive classroom environment, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Support students during school activities and events, providing a safe and nurturing presence.
  • Liaise with parents, caregivers, and external agencies, ensuring that students receive comprehensive support.
Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for individuals with a degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field. Experience working with children or young people, preferably in education, is essential. Knowledge of SEMH needs and support practices is also required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, as well as patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. We are seeking team players who are willing to learn and adapt to meet the needs of our students.
