Early Intervention Officer

About the Role
The Early Intervention Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the Income Collection function at Riverside Group. This position is responsible for maximizing and sustaining rental income and other debts, including former tenant arrears and rechargeable repairs, and garage arrears.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out early intervention and prevention activities to minimize arrears, including providing advice on claiming Universal Credit and processing UC claims in the DWP portal.
- Encourage rent in advance and set up digital payment methods to improve cash flow.
- Manage income collection administration, including preparation of court packs.
- Support campaigns to prevent arrears from escalating and manage proactive contact with customers who go into arrears.
- Manage payment arrangements to ensure timely payment of debts.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues. They will also have a strong understanding of income collection processes and procedures, as well as experience in a similar role.
What You Will Achieve
As an Early Intervention Officer, you will make a significant impact at Riverside Group by helping to maximize rental income and prevent arrears. You will work closely with the Income Collection team to develop and implement strategies to improve cash flow and reduce debt.
