This role is integral to our commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will resonate with our core values of community, support, and excellence in education.
Your responsibilities will include providing tailored support to students with special educational needs and social, emotional, and mental health challenges, both individually and in small groups. Additionally, you will assist classroom teachers with various educational tasks. A solid understanding of the secondary school curriculum and special educational needs is essential.
Key Responsibilities of the Academic Support Mentor - Secondary Education
- Engaging with a reputable secondary educational institution
- Supporting students in both classroom and individual settings
- Working with students across key stages 3, 4, and 5
- Delivering personalized support to students with SEND/SEMH requirements
- Documenting and evaluating student interventions
- Establishing goals for individuals and small groups
