About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Package Manager to lead our Structural Steel Package team at STRABAG UK Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer Subcontract Packages related to the construction of Structural Steel through the full contract lifecycle.
  • Act as a Safety Leader, reflecting the company values in your behaviours, ensuring effective safety management through the full contract lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement assurance and delivery management plans with suppliers to meet contract requirements.
  • Work with asset delivery teams to ensure the effective and efficient execution of subcontract works.
  • Minimise the impact on the Environment, ensuring compliance with Environmental policies and contractual requirements.
  • Share learning and best practices between assets to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Engage with technical teams to obtain specialist support for technical challenges.
  • Support the commercial team with subcontract administration, ensuring contemporaneous records are maintained.
  • Mentor Delivery Managers, developing their skills and knowledge relevant to the package.
  • Develop trusting relationships with client representatives, communicating effectively and acting with integrity.
  • Deliver a quality and assured product to the customer, establishing robust quality management systems.
  • Provide weekly reports on subcontract package status.

Requirements

  • Suitable building/civil engineering technical qualification (HNC/HND/Degree).
  • Experience of managing Structural Steel Packages.
  • Experience of managing NEC Subcontracts.
  • Experience of managing subcontract detailed design.
  • Experience of working in large complex nationally significant infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Relevant CSCS Card.
  • Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (SMSTS).

Desirable

  • Experience of managing NEC Option A and C subcontracts.
  • Experience of scheme handover.
