Director of Project Execution

Overview: A leading player in the Financial Services sector is seeking a skilled Director of Project Execution to join their team on a permanent basis. This position offers a competitive salary of £110,000 (potentially negotiable), along with a robust bonus structure, pension plan, and car allowance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and uphold best practices in project delivery.
- Create an environment conducive to the success of Project Managers.
- Oversee comprehensive Project Delivery across the organization and provide support in execution as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the PMO function to maintain high standards of governance and project health.
- Exhibit exceptional skills in resource allocation and budget management.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
- Proven track record in managing large teams of Project Managers and fostering talent development.
- Strong background in Resource and Budget Management, with direct budget responsibilities exceeding £30m.
- Experience in overseeing diverse project and program workstreams.
- Previous involvement in developing effective Portfolio dashboards and KPIs.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the PMO to define processes and documentation, ensuring robust controls are in place.
- Willingness to support Project Managers in their initiatives, stepping in as needed.
- Ability to question and challenge processes that do not meet established standards.
- Exceptional leadership qualities with the capacity to influence cross-functional leaders.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a cooperative environment.
