Retail Branch Supervisor

The Role
As a vital member of the management team, you will provide leadership, direction, and comprehensive people management to the entire store team.
Your responsibilities will include acting as a key holder, executing opening and closing procedures, and serving as the Duty Manager to oversee daily store operations.
You will ensure compliance with all legal and company standards, including health and safety regulations and driver compliance.
Accountability for the overall Profit and Loss performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) that gauge store success will be part of your role.
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships and developing the customer database will be essential tasks.
Effective communication of company initiatives to the broader team will be your responsibility.
You will manage employee engagement and monitor KPIs such as employee turnover.
Recruitment processes will be under your purview to ensure full employee availability, and you will provide second-line support for grievances and disciplinary matters.
Overseeing employee management, including performance appraisals and talent development, will be crucial.
Participation in regional or company-specific projects aimed at enhancing company performance will be expected.
Maintaining high levels of product knowledge and security awareness will be necessary.
You will operate mechanical equipment, including fork lift trucks, as required.
Maximizing sales opportunities through proactive encouragement of sales and support for sales activities will be part of your objectives.
Ensuring a safe working environment at all times is paramount.
Adhering to procedures in line with FSC & PEFC requirements will be part of your responsibilities.
You will follow all applicable company procedures and undertake any additional tasks as deemed necessary by the management team to meet customer needs.
