About the Role

Meredith Brown Associates is seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager - Research Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for assisting in the selection, combination, and monitoring of mandates awarded to external managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investment Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of investment strategies and style combinations for externally managed sub-funds to achieve agreed investment outcomes.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with external managers, including appointed and prospective managers, to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Portfolio Management: Assist in the management of portfolios/sub-funds within investment guidelines and defined risk parameters, ensuring alignment with the company's investment objectives.
  • Research and Due Diligence: Undertake fundamental research to support Strategic and Dynamic Asset Allocation decisions, and conduct qualitative and quantitative due diligence on external managers.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate actively in investment team meetings, engaging with research, responsible investment, and portfolio risk teams to ensure an integrated investment approach.
Requirements
  • CFA Qualification: Hold a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and possess relevant experience in asset management, manager research, and oversight.
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrate a strong understanding of asset classes, economic fundamentals, and portfolio management tools such as Bloomberg, PowerBI, and eVestment.
  • Soft Skills: Possess excellent relationship management skills, high levels of integrity, and trustworthiness, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
