Staff Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our nursing/ODP team, you will provide high-quality, holistic care to children, young people, and their families in our 19 theatres.
Main Responsibilities- Work as a skilled member of the nursing/ODP team to provide a high standard of care to patients.
- Promote family-centered care and establish good relationships with patients and their families.
- Take charge of the ward/theatre in the absence of senior nursing/ODP staff, following achievement of required competence.
- NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC registered ODP.
- Anaesthetic Course qualification for registered Nurses.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development linked to demonstrable competencies.
- Assessor or practice supervisor qualification/experience.
- Experience of working as part of a diverse team.
- Experience of contributing to an inclusive workplace culture.
- Ability to plan and prioritize care for patients.
- Committed to family-centered care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent numeracy skills.
- Good time management and teaching skills.
