The Role

We are seeking a Senior Associate to enhance our Commercial team. This position offers a unique chance to develop the Commercial practice within our firm, supported by a robust national network. You will collaborate with a talented group of professionals, including partners, to expand our services and deliver high-quality legal solutions to a diverse clientele.

As a Senior Associate, you will be integral to the Corporate and Commercial department, working alongside a dedicated team to foster new business opportunities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting, negotiating, and providing counsel on various commercial agreements, such as supply contracts, terms and conditions, distribution deals, franchise agreements, and joint ventures.
  • Addressing day-to-day commercial inquiries from our diverse client base.
  • Assisting General Counsel with critical business projects.
  • Building and nurturing effective client relationships.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal management procedures.
  • Participating in strategic marketing initiatives and team meetings.

Candidate Profile

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified solicitor or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years' post-qualification experience in commercial law.
  • Strong technical skills and a creative approach to legal challenges.
  • Proven ability to manage responsibilities and progress matters independently.
  • A client-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
  • A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for business development.
  • Experience in managing client relationships effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative spirit and strong communication abilities.
