Experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £28,000 + Bonus

Working Hours: 09:00am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday

Ritz Recruitment is seeking an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. Our client, the largest provider of student housing for second- and third-year university students, aims to provide students with a comfortable and exceptional living experience through modern appliances, high-quality furnishings and fittings, and efficient use of space during their studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing high-quality repairs, maintenance, and decorating across a portfolio of student houses.
  • Completing planned and reactive maintenance work within budget.
  • Conducting periodic health and safety checks and property inspections.
  • Managing maintenance and third-party contractor work to a high standard.
  • Managing energy and utility usage, including metre reading and broadband service management.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc tasks such as key delivery and aiding locked-out tenants.
  • Performing basic seasonal garden maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience completing repairs and maintenance in student or HMO housing.
  • Expertise in internal and external painting.
  • Some experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and decoration is desirable.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot broadband and TV issues.
  • Proficiency in IOS on iPhone and iPad and experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
