You will lead the project team and ensure the successful delivery of the project within the defined requirements, including cost, time, functionality, safety, and quality.
You will also be responsible for ensuring business success and customer satisfaction, pursuing professional internal and external partner management, and adhering to timely decisions on open issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for contract execution in a professional manner.
Your Responsibilities
- Using available risk measurement tools throughout the project life cycle to identify and assess all risk factors.
- Devising suitable strategies for risk mitigation (eliminate, reduce, isolate, control).
- Implementing procedures for solving issues and problems (identification, analysis, actions, and controlling) with all vital internal and external partners.
- Identifying, assessing, and implementing all opportunities for improving results.
Contract, Change, and Claim Management
- Influencing the formulation of necessary contracts.
- Collaborating with partners on Change Requests and incorporating them into contracts.
- Defining and agreeing the strategy for making, mitigating, and defending claims.
- Involving the project team in the identification of changes and claims.
- Assessing contracts in terms of claim-relevant significance and ensuring legal expert input.
- Putting the strategy for making/mittigating claims into practice.
- Advising customer, management, and project team of deviations at an early stage.
- Identifying, driving, defending, and mitigating claims at an early stage.
- Protecting the organization from exposure to any contract liability.
Project Planning, Controlling, and Closure
- Setting up and maintaining the Siemens Project Management Plan.
- Supervising continuously the project status, taking into account IFRS, early identification of discrepancies, and initiating targeted actions.
- Defining procedures and requirements concerning quality management (acceptance checks, audits, etc.) according to valid Quality Management regulations and standards.
- Holding regular project status meetings and coordinating acceptance of achieving agreed key measurable's.
- Driving the mechanical and electrical completion processes to a satisfactory outcome.
- Leading acceptance of delivery units and services, performing quality controls.
- Documenting all work results according to the valid standards.
- Coordinating acceptance tests and final project handover to contract partner(s).
Leadership and Communication
- Ensuring efficient communication with all relevant internal and external partners.
- Ensuring targeted and full communication within the project team.
- Agreeing targets with project staff and delegating defined responsibilities and authority.
- Facilitating and supervising effective team collaboration (via mentoring).
- Holding feedback sessions with each directly assigned member of staff.
- Seeking active feedback (from members of staff, managers, customers).
Business Integrity
- Enforcing the Siemens Business Conduct Guidelines (Tax regulations & IR35, Delegation of employees, Export Control, EHS (environment, health, and safety)).
- Involving the respective corporate governance units (Compliance, Legal Units, HR, Workers Council).
- Forwarding all relevant information to the project team members and partners.
- Setting up a framework to ensure regular checks of compliance in the project, by conducting Compliance Risk (Re-) Assessments at the appropriate milestones/Quality Gates.
Requirements
- Leadership methodologies for personnel management and development, team development, motivation, and overcoming obstacles.
- Detailed knowledge of Economics in project business, especially procedures for monitoring and control of financial aspects of projects.
- Expertise knowledge of project management tools enabling the use of PM methods concerning efficient project organization, including roles and responsibilities, duties, and collaboration (also with customers and partners).
