Process Design Engineer

Join our team of skilled engineers at Babcock, where you'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that contribute to the upkeep of the Royal Navy's submarine fleet.
We're seeking a talented Process Design Engineer to join our team in Plymouth. As a Process Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and updating reference design documentation, producing technical drawings, models, and reports, and conducting analysis, surveys, validations, and inspections to ensure that information is accurate, and that equipment is fit-for-purpose.
You'll also be involved in nuclear safety-related design tasks that demand a high level of technical substantiation. You'll gain an understanding of various site facilities and the rigorous design and safety processes in place to ensure that all equipment and facilities are safe, fit for purpose, and compliant with regulations.
We offer a diverse range of early careers programmes, and this role is part of our Process Design Engineering Graduate Programme. Through a series of digital and face-to-face sessions, you'll gain the knowledge and tools you need to thrive and perform at your very best on your programme and beyond.
As a Process Design Engineer, you'll have access to the latest computer hardware and software, as well as subject matter experts from a range of interfacing disciplines. You'll benefit from numerous opportunities for nuclear-specific, technical, and non-technical training and development, all of which will be covered by us.
