About the Role

Fugro NL Services B.V. is seeking a skilled Workshop Technician to join our Marine Site Characterisation Geophysical team in Aberdeen. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in preparing, testing, and maintaining geophysical survey equipment, data acquisition, and data processing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all work is undertaken to the highest quality and professionalism in accordance with the company's Integrated Management System and project-specific documentation.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out with the highest regard to health and safety, protection of the environment, and prevention of pollution.
  • Assemble, maintain, and test geophysical equipment while onsite at company onshore sites.
  • Provide accurate feedback to Geophysical Operations Engineers or Manager on the status of equipment and any potential issues.
  • Carry out repairs, refurbishment, and maintenance of geophysical equipment and complete all required documentation.
  • Identify and maintain minimum levels of spares and consumables to be kept in stock for onshore repairs via the Purchasing Department.
  • Liaise with Warehouse and Logistics, Asset & Repairs Controller, and Workshop teams as required.
  • Undertake Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks prior to the commencement of works.
  • Ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained at all times.
  • Continually seek the identification of new working methods and/or technology and/or cost reductions to improve performance.
  • Identify personal training needs, bring them to the attention of the department manager, and take full advantage of training opportunities.
