About the Role

The City & County of Swansea is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Playground Installer to join our team. As an Assistant Playground Installer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation and maintenance of fixed play equipment and landscaping works within our recreational facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of fixed play equipment, including but not limited to, climbing frames, swings, and slides.
  • Conduct all elements of hard and soft landscaping works, including but not limited to, grass cutting, pruning, and planting.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and within the designated timeframe.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our visitors and stakeholders, ensuring a positive experience at all times.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a local authority or recreational facility setting.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong technical competence and ability to operate a range of equipment, including but not limited to, lawn mowers, pruning saws, and hand tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
