Job Opportunity

Shillito Executive Search is seeking a highly skilled Machine Tool Service Engineer to join a leading Sheffield-based machining business.

The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of advanced five-axis machines.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile project, collaborating with a customer and a new machine tool provider OEM.

The Machine Tool Service Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the smooth operation of machine tools, including installation, fault finding, and correction.
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to plan and execute maintenance work.
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering department.
  • Liaising with the lead engineer to optimize plant efficiency and productivity.
  • Responding to breakdowns, projects, and pre-planned maintenance.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Engineering qualifications, such as an apprenticeship and HNC.
  • Service and maintenance experience at a high level, ideally supervisory.
  • Experience working on CNC machines, hydrostatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • The ability to read and understand machine tool mechanical and electrical drawings.
