Job Details

Beacon Academy, a mixed 11-18 non-selective converter academy, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students, working closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in the classroom, providing individualized support to students as needed.
  • Help to create a safe and organized learning environment, ensuring students have access to necessary resources and materials.
  • Support students with special educational needs, working closely with teachers and other support staff to develop individualized plans.
  • Contribute to the development of lesson plans and educational materials, working collaboratively with teachers to enhance student learning.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers, providing regular updates on student progress and needs.

Requirements:
  • Relevant experience working with students, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
