Role Summary:

Become a key member of the Land Ceptor team, contributing to the British Army's advanced Ground-Based Air Defence capabilities while adapting this sophisticated system for new international markets. You will enhance a premier design by integrating innovative ideas, functionalities, and technologies to fulfill diverse client requirements.

As the Equipment Requirement Authority for electronic systems and processing equipment, you will manage all lifecycle aspects, from addressing design inquiries to overseeing manufacturing processes. Your expertise will ensure that the Land Ceptor team achieves its delivery goals and supports the product throughout its operational lifespan.

Additionally, as an integral part of the hardware team, you will guide product evolution, tackle obsolescence challenges, facilitate technology integration, and refine designs for future market opportunities. Join us to make a substantial impact on state-of-the-art defense technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lifecycle Oversight: Manage all lifecycle phases for electronic systems and processing equipment, ensuring efficient product support from design to manufacturing.
  • Design Enhancement: Integrate innovative ideas and technologies into existing designs to improve product capabilities and address changing customer needs.
  • Obsolescence Strategy: Identify and mitigate obsolescence risks to maintain product relevance and reliability.
  • Technology Integration: Drive the incorporation of new technologies to keep the product at the forefront of defense advancements.
  • Market Adaptation: Tailor the design and functionality of the system to meet the specific demands of emerging international markets.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with the hardware team and other stakeholders to ensure effective product evolution and problem resolution.
  • Delivery Assurance: Ensure the Land Ceptor team meets all delivery targets while upholding high standards of product quality and performance throughout its lifecycle.

Candidate Profile:

  • A proactive self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities within a broader context
  • A demonstrated history of delivering and supporting complex hardware projects on time and within budget
  • Ability to coordinate internal design and manufacturing teams as well as external suppliers
  • Experience in product optimization, industrialization, and obsolescence management is advantageous

Security Requirements: Due to the nature of this position, candidates must obtain UK government security clearance, necessitating British or dual nationality.
