About the Role

Binnies, a RSK Company, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Lead Electrical Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, providing technical direction and design support to our electrical engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction and guidance to electrical engineers in the team.
  • Review and check electrical design deliverables to ensure quality, safety, and technical standards are met.
  • Collaborate with Principal Engineer, Portfolio Design Managers, and Project Design Managers to acquire project milestones and design review dates.
  • Coach and mentor junior and less experienced electrical engineers.
  • Input into Construction Design Management (CDM) and commissioning strategy meetings.
  • Update and collaborate with the Principal Engineer and Design Managers on potential improvements.
  • Liaise with other departments and project teams on design requirements.
  • Manage quality through the design workflow review in line with the project timeline.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have an engineering degree or equivalent, and experience in the water sector and capital projects. You will be comfortable demonstrating your knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice. Ideally, you will have experience in mentoring and coaching junior engineers, and experience in a Design & Build environment is a distinct advantage.
