Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Energy and Carbon Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for undertaking technical reviews of applications, leading client communications, and providing expertise on low carbon heating, energy efficiency, and renewable technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Review and Assessment

Undertake full technical reviews of applications in line with our Technical Services Procedures, assessing technical feasibility, financial value for money, and project delivery risk assessments.

Client Communications

Lead client communications to review and resolve technical queries with applicants, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Technical Expertise

Provide expertise within the company on low carbon heating, energy efficiency, and renewable technologies covered in funding applications, supporting the development of processes for the measurement and analysis of approved applications.

Reporting and Analysis

Produce performance reports for our Energy and Carbon Managers and other programme leadership teams, analyzing energy and carbon savings data from funded projects.

Team Collaboration

Support the development of staff technical knowledge through shared learning, providing technical advice to colleagues, and collaborating with the Communication and PR team on technical aspects of marketing material.

Requirements

  1. Education and Qualifications

Degree (preferably STEM Subject) or equivalent professionally relevant qualification.

Technical Knowledge

Relevant knowledge of low carbon technologies, project management skills, strong data analysis skills, and presentation experience.

IT Skills

Strong IT skills, including all Microsoft Office Programs with a focus on Microsoft Excel.

Personal Qualities

Ability to work constructively within a small team, manage, prioritize, and deliver a number of projects and work programmes within timescale, and close attention to detail.
